FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT MIDDLEBURY FOODS:
Q: Who are you?
A: We are a volunteer run 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Middlebury, Vermont. We are not officially associated with Middlebury College or Middlebury Natural Foods Co-op.
Q: What are my payment options?
A: If you choose Cash on Delivery (COD), we accept cash, check, card, and SNAP at the delivery site. You may also choose to prepay using a card or PayPal.
Q: Can I switch pickup sites after I order?
A: Yes. Give us a call, tell us your name and the site you would like to pick up at, and we will switch it over in our records.
Q: Can I cancel my order?
A: If you must cancel an order, please contact us as soon as you can, and we will do our best to accommodate. We frequently have customers pick up for their friends or neighbors, which is a good alternative if something comes up at the last minute.
Q: What is your refund policy?
A: If you have pre-paid and must cancel an order, please notify us by the Tuesday before the pickup weekend, and we will issue a full refund. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for orders that are cancelled after that time or orders that are not picked up during the delivery process as we will have already purchased the bag contents. If possible, we ask that you pay the full price of your order (or as much as possible for you) if you have not already pre-paid for your order. This helps us keep prices low and maintain our mission of bringing our customers the best possible products!
Q: Where can I learn about SNAP benefits?
A: Right here!
Q: Do you accept SNAP benefits? What are my payment options?
A: Yes. In order to simplify the process for you at pickup, we contact you in advance via email or phone and clear the charge in advance. When you show up at the pickup site we will have your receipt and food for you! If we are not in contact before the delivery, we will either swipe your card (if at the Middlebury delivery), or take down your information and process it directly after the delivery. We try to do everything we can to make the process as smooth as possible, but are always eager to hear feedback and try new ways to satisfy our SNAP customers.
Q: What do you do with food that is not picked up at delivery?
A: We donate all extra produce, eggs, and cheese to either the John Graham Emergency Shelter or H.O.P.E.
